There are few sounds more satisfying than the slow, suspenseful collapse of a giant Jenga tower — especially when it's accompanied by a chorus of laughter, cheers, and just a little friendly heckling. That was the soundtrack at Del Crary Park in Peterborough on June 6–7, 2025, where Camp Rentique proudly joined the Kawartha Craft Beer Festival for a weekend full of games, sunshine, and great Ontario brews.
And while we’ve been part of many amazing festivals across the province, nothing makes us prouder than supporting a celebration right here in our own city — Peterborough. This one felt personal. It felt like home. And the energy? Absolutely unmatched.
The festival brought together over 30 local craft breweries, a crowd of beer enthusiasts, incredible live music, and an atmosphere that screamed, “summer is here.” And right in the middle of it all? Our game zone — the unofficial headquarters for good times. See all our outdoor games here.
What We Brought (A.K.A. The Fun Stuff)
Camp Rentique came loaded with everything needed to turn a beer festival into an all-out playground. While the brewers handled the hops, we handled the laughs.
Here’s what we dropped off:
-
Giant Jenga – Multiple towers, endless drama. Whether it was a cautious first move or a bold mid-tower extraction, Jenga drew crowds and kept people coming back for rematches.
-
Cornhole – Beanbags were flying across the park as friendly competitions took over. Everyone from seasoned cornhole pros to first-time tossers got in on the action.
-
Giant Connect 4 – A classic that never goes out of style. People gathered on the grass to relive their childhoods — this time with a pint in hand and a little more strategy.
-
Spikeball – Fast-paced, bouncy, and slightly chaotic. Perfect for those who couldn’t sit still between beers and needed a good rally.
-
Foldable Tables – Because between tossing bags and toppling towers, you need somewhere to sit, sip, and debate your next move.
Coming Back in 2026 — You In?
We’re thrilled to share that Camp Rentique will be returning to the Kawartha Craft Beer Festival next summer — June 5–6, 2026 — and we’re already counting down the days. Bigger setup, more games, same great vibes.
Until then, if you're planning a festival, wedding, retreat, or outdoor team event, let’s talk. You bring the people, we’ll bring the fun.
